Behind the scenes: how we make your coloring album
What happens between the moment you send your photos and the album landing in your letterbox. The five steps, no jargon, from line-art conversion to printing.

A personalised coloring album looks simple from the outside: you send photos, you get a book. Behind it there are five steps, some of them done by hand. Here's what really happens between your order and your letterbox, without the technical jargon.
Step 1: your photos
It all starts with the images you choose. It's the most important step, and the only one that's down to you. A sharp photo, with one or two faces filling a good part of the frame, will always give better line work than a group shot taken from far away or into the light. The rest, we handle.
Step 2: the line-art conversion
Each photo is turned into line art, ready to colour. It's not a simple automatic filter: we explain how a photo becomes a drawing, and above all every render is checked by hand before we move on. A distorted face or a failed line gets redone.
Step 3: the layout
Each photo takes up a double page: the colour version on the left, the line-art drawing on the right. We compose the album on a fixed template, add the title and first name on the cover, and prepare a print file at the right dimensions (square 21.6 cm format). No stray text, to leave all the room for colouring.
Step 4: the printing
The file goes to our print partner. The album is printed one at a time, just for you, on 90 g/m² uncoated inner paper that holds pencils and water-based markers well. The 12 and 24-photo formats get a hardcover, the 6-photo one a saddle-stitched cover.
Step 5: shipping
Once printed and checked, the album is shipped. Allow 7 to 10 working days between your order and dispatch, then carrier transit. You get tracking so you know where your parcel is. And that's how a few photos become an object you keep.
